Lewes Road Launch event
Sat 5th October, 1-4pm
at Wild Park
Since September 2009 Bike Train & Lewes Road for Clean Air have been campaigning for improvements to cycling conditions along Brighton’s Lewes Road to make it safer, cleaner and friendlier for everyone. Now, four years on, we can celebrate this achievement, following major improvements carried out during the last year. Thanks to Brighton & Hove City Council, the Jo Walters Trust, the government’s Local Sustainable Transport Fund and to all our supporters – we did it!
Assemble from 12 noon (to check bikes, meet up, hang out).
Depart at 12.40pm for a mass ride, at a gentle pace with upbeat music and a celebratory attitude.
We’ll arrive at Wild Park before 1pm for start of the Lewes Road Improvements Launch Event. Includes speakers (inc. Transport minister Norman Baker MP), stalls, pump track and other fun bike stuff.
